About
Georgina Borsley
In 2023 I took a leap of faith and made a career change into the world of counselling. For over 30 years prior to this I trained and worked in Primary Education in Worcestershire, The City of Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire as a class teacher in both Key stage 1 and 2, as a music teacher and teaching assistant. I am also a qualified SENDCO
I stepped back into academia at Staffordshire University where I gained a certificate in psychotherapeutic counselling and then completed a Post Graduate Diploma and qualified as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I am also currently in the process of completing a MSc in Psychotherapeutic Counselling.I have also trained with Lichfield Diocese as a spiritual listener and am working towards qualifying as a spiritual director. I am married with 3 grown up children and live in Staffordshire. I counsel from my beautiful garden room, where I feel very part of nature. Our natural creation is most inspiring to me. It is good to be part of all of life’s seasons. I very much appreciate the changes in life and very much believe that there is a time for everything. I see my role as counsellor as one of a companion to journey the difficult parts of life with those struggling. Part of my helping role is also to equip those struggling with self-help tools to use in the future if needed and to learn to find certain solutions from within.
