Therapy can be either Face to Face, Online or by Telephone ...

I work integratively and pluralistically which means I work with clients in collaboration to find solutions together. Working from an integrative perspective, allows thoughts and feelings to be explored in a supported, safe, non-judgmental way with someone who is empathetic and respects you. I work alongside clients listening and guiding them to a place where they want to be.

It is hoped that in counselling/ psychotherapy, clients become attuned to who they really are where fears and struggles can be explored as well as aspirations, wants and fulfillment. I believe that a client is their own expert, and I will guide and explore with a client on where they want to be.

To show that my understanding, I may use metaphors or images to help to further explain psychological distress. I work within a range of counselling modalities and methods; primarily systemic, person-centred, psychodynamic, attachment theory and can use Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). I tailor therapies according to the needs of my clients.

Systemic Therapy

This is a  form of psychotherapy that focuses on the interactions, communication patterns, and relationships between individuals within their wider social networks—such as families, couples, or communities—rather than treating psychological issues in isolation.

Person Centered Therapy

This is a non-directive form of psychotherapy that creates a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment to help individuals tap into their own vast resources for self-understanding and personal growth.

Psychodynamic Therapy

This is a talking therapy that explores how unconscious patterns, deep-seated emotions, and formative childhood experiences shape an individual's current behaviour, relationships, and mental health.

Attachment Based Therapy

This is an approach to psychotherapy that explores how early childhood bonds with primary caregivers shape an individual's current emotional regulation, self-worth, and adult relationship patterns

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

This structured, goal-oriented talk therapy helps people manage their problems by changing the way they think and behave. Part of the therapy can usually involve completing small tasks to facilitate change in between therapy sessions.
